Lever clamping cylinders are primarily intended for applications in which the clamping point must be free for handling the workpiece after unclamping.
The advantage over swing clamp cylinders is the more compact design and higher clamping force. The lever clamping cylinder is particularly suitable for applications with interfering contours that do not allow the use of swing clamp cylinders. The high force density is transferred to the clamping lever via a pressure piston. The movable bearing of the clamping lever leaves the clamping point completely free during unclamping. In addition to the standard clamping lever, special clamping levers can also be fitted.
Operating conditions: Hydraulic lever clamping cylinders are double-acting. This ensures clear closing and opening times. Either G1/8 or G1/4 threaded connections or O-ring flange connections can be used for the pressure oil supply. The clamping lever develops the optimum clamping force in the horizontal position. Workpiece tolerances up to a positional deviation of approx. +/- 8.5° are easily compensated.
Position control (optional): The lever clamping cylinder can be equipped with a continuous piston rod. The monitoring can be carried out via inductive proximity switches or pneumatically.
