Disentangler system
The handling of the spring often causes a great challenge for workshops involved in assembly and installation work. Springs are supplied most of the time in bulk and are difficult to feed. Tasks like that can easily be carried out using the Afag FEG spring disentangling and feeding unit.
The springs agitate in a glass bowl by means of an air stream. The bowl holds up to 0.5 litre of springs and can be fitted with 1 to 6 outlets and are being fed through nozzles in nylon tubes. Depending on the shape of the springs a feed rate up to 60 pcs per minutes and outlet be obtained. The unit consists of the feeding bowl with the outlets, the control cabinet and a column support with a foot plate.
The feeding rate depends on the type and size of the spring. The feeding rate can only be calculated by tests with a volume of one litre of springs.

Regulations
Regulation 1
Two tight turns on each end of the spring keep the springs from wedging into each other.
Reglation 2
Three tight turns in the middle of the spring enhance its rigidity.
Reglation 3
The wire of the larger end of a tapered spring is bent through the centre to keep the springs from wedging into each other.
Reglation 4
3-4 tight turns on each end of a barrel shaped spring keep the springs from wedging into each other.

FEG-PEN, Manual escapement
The pen escapement is held like a pen and release one spring after the other at a squeeze of a fingertip. Owing to its slim design, the positioning of springs is possible at almost all difficult to access places.

The manual pick off unit complies with all the ergonomical requirements of today's manual assembly work places.
FEG-AV, Automatic escapement
The automatic escapement is dimensioned for 1-6 outlets. It works with a pneumatically actuated slider, 1/8" connector and operate with a pressure of 5-6 bar.
